17 Pakistanis released from Yemen arrives home

KARACHI, October 30 (Online): The 17 more Pakistani crewmen who were stuck at Aden Sea, since last one year arrives back home to Pakistan on Wednesday as the Authorities in Yemen found their travelling documents as genuine.


They were got released by the Ansar Burney Welfare Trust International from the clutches of gang involved in human trafficking.

The Ansar Burney Welfare Trust International has already brought 97 such Pakistani youngsters back to Pakistan in the last few months, which were smuggled from Pakistan, by the human smuggler agents where they sold them to another Agents for slave labour.

They belonged from Gujrat, Gujranwala, Lahore, Mandibahauddin, Karachi, Peshawar and other parts of Pakistan. It is worth mentioning here that all of their expenses were born by the Ansar Burney Trust.

These 17 Pakistani crewmen were stuck in Aden Sea since last 10 months to one year and rescued only due to the personal hectic efforts of Ansar Burney Welfare Trust International's Chairman Ansar Burney, Advocate.

They were received at the Karachi Airport by Ansar Burney, Advocate.

After arrival these Pakistanis said they were on slave labour camp where they spent their times in miserable conditions.

To satisfy their hunger they were drinking seawater after boiling it and taking the salt out from the seawater. They were starving, drinking rusty water and has no medical facilities on the Ship at sea port.

"Misery started last year when Agent took these Pakistanis to Yemen and sold them to another Yemeni Agent like animals where they were asked for slave labour on the ship, the owner of the ship has not paid a single penny to these Pakistani youngsters since their arrival, as a result of which they were facing pathetic and crucial time on the port." Fahad Burney, Vice Chairman of the Welfare Trust, said.

He said that these Pakistani seamen went to Yemen through legal procedure and their local Yemeni agents, received all the seamen at the airport and got them cleared with the immigration.

Another group of 300 prisoners from Amman expected to arrive home next week

ISLAMABAD, November 02 (Online): Another group of about three hundred stranded Pakistani prisoners from Amman is expected to be released and arrive back home in next week.

These Pakistanis were smuggled to Muscat via Iran to go to Dubai by the cruel human smugglers, where these innocents were arrested and sent to prisons.

They spent several months in Jails in a miserable condition and expected to release next week.

Recently the Ansar Burney Welfare Trust International is already succeeded in getting the release of 723 stranded Pakistanis jailed in Muscat.

These released prisoners revealed that hundreds of Pakistanis are still confined in Muscat Jails on their illegal entry into Amman. They also revealed that several 'Dead Bodies' of Innocent Pakistanis are decaying on the mountains of Oman and some of them were even eaten by the Cannibals.

In most of the cases these Pakistanis were first taken to Iran and from Iran they were taken to Oman by boat where they were asked to leave the boat and run away on the mountains. Reportedly who died or killed during their journey, there dead bodies of many innocent Pakistanis are decaying and some even eaten by cannibals.

Sikh religious festival starts

LAHORE, November 07 (Online): More than 3,000 Sikh pilgrims from India, United States, Canada, England and other part of world will attend their main religious festival, 534th birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak, on Saturday at Gurdwara Janam Asthan in Nankana Sahib.
Some 3,000 Sikh Yatrees have already arrived in City in the last one week to attend 534th birth anniversary of the founder of Sikh religion, Baba Guru Nanak.

Minister/Advisor to CM for Human Rights, Rana Ijaz Ahmad Khan, Minister/Special Assistant for Industries and Minorities Affairs Javed Khalid, Chairman International Organisation for Human and Civil Rights; Ansar Burney Welfare Trust International, Ansar Burney, President World Muslim Sikhs Ittehad Foundation Brig. (R) Yaqoob Dogar, Latif Mirza, Member Minorities Advisory Council Punjab Jacqueline Tressler, Lady Councillor Mehnaz Anwar, President All Pakistan Christian Movement M.M Shad will also attend the 534th birthday of Baba Guru Nanak.

Yatrees came to Pakistan in different groups. One was led by President Sikh Muslim Youth Federation Sardar Manmohan Singh Khalsa, from UK one by Maher and Company Solicitors UK. The other group was led by Sardar Balqar Singh Shurumani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee while Pram Cheet Singh Sarna was leading the delegation of Delhi Gurdwara Parbandak Committee.

On their arrival to Pakistan Sikh Yatrees demanded of the Pakistani government to waive the visa conditions for Sikhs as most of their religious places were in Pakistan.

The 3-day birth anniversary celebrations of Baba Guru Nanak already start from Thursday, but will attend a big religious event at 'Nankana sahib' on Saturday. The pilgrims, after attending the celebrations, would visit Gurdwara Panja Sahib and other Sikhs sacred places of the Sikh religion before returning to their homeland.

Released Prisoners, their relatives called on Burney

KARACHI, November 11 (Online): The recently released Ninety-three Pakistani fishermen, who had been in Indian custody on the charges of trespassing its maritime zone, along with their parents called on renowned human and civil rights activist Ansar Burney, Advocate in his office and thanked for his efforts to get them release from Indian Jails.

Touching scenes were witnessed when released prisoners, their friends and family members, including children of some fishermen met Ansar Burney.

They spent, in some cases two-and-a-half-year long detention in India. The Indian authorities along with their eight boats, of which seven could return home as one got damaged beyond repairs, had arrested the fishermen.

The released Pakistanis and their parents said the release of these Pakistanis came from the Indian Jails, only because of the hectic efforts of Ansar Burney Welfare Trust International. They also thanked Fishermen Co-operative Society in this regard.

The relatives of recently released Pakistanis from Sri Lanka Jails also called on Ansar Burney and thanked for the laudable efforts for the release of innocent Pakistanis from Sri Lanka Jails.


700 stranded Pakistanis arrives home


Abu Dhabi: The Senior Reports Officer at the United States Department of State at Washington, Mr Feleke T. ASSEFA has visited the under age child camel jockeys Shelter Home and met with Mr Ansar Burney. The first rehabilitation centre for underage Child Camel Jockeys under the supervision of the Ansar Burney Welfare Trust International in Abu Dhabi (UAE) is in accordance with the UAE government's policy to eliminate the use of underage boys in this sport.

Ansar Burney asks Gulf and Arab countries to ban

KARACHI, October 31 (Online): Seven hundred stranded Pakistanis smuggled to Oman by human smugglers, arrived back home by Sea on Thursday. These stranded Pakistanis arrived at Keemari Ghasbander by Cargo Ship Al-Mohammadi 2. At the Ghasbander, Keemari they were received by the volunteers of Ansar Burney Welfare Trust International.


Ansar Burney, Advocate has thanked Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Interior for their kind cooperation in this regard.

"I am specially greatful to Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat the Minister for Interior for issuing instructions on Ansar Burney Welfare Trust International request for not to arrest innocents at their arrival". Ansar Burney said.

He said we are facing shortage of funds but trying our best to help crying humanity to see smile on their faces.

605 more Pakistani prisoners arrive home

KARACHI, November 15 (Online): Six hundred and five (605) more Pakistani prisoners, smuggled to Oman by human smugglers and arrested in Muscat, arrived back home by Sea on Friday. These stranded Pakistanis arrive at Ghasbander, Keemari by Cargo Ship Al-Quadri.

At the Ghasbander, Mr Ansar Burney, Advocate and the volunteers of Ansar Burney Welfare Trust International received them. They were released from the Oman Jails due to the hectic efforts of Ansar Burney.

Ansar Burney, Advocate has thanked Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Interior for their kind cooperation in this regard.

"I am specially grateful to Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat the Minister for Interior for issuing instructions on Ansar Burney Welfare Trust International's request for not to arrest innocents at their arrival". Ansar Burney said.

These Pakistanis were smuggled to Muscat via Iran to go to Dubai by the cruel human smugglers, where these innocents were arrested and sent to prisons. They spent several months in Jails in a miserable condition and released three days ago.

Touching Scenes were witnessed at the Ghasbander, Sea Port at Keemari when these prisoners came out from the Boat. They felt down and bow before Almighty Allah immediately after coming out from the Boat and when human rights Angel, Ansar Burney informed them that they are now no more prisoner and free to go where ever they like.

Groups of fake agents took innocent Pakistanis to foreign countries on a dream of better future after taking huge amount of money and leave them there helpless and sometimes took them to dessert and shoot them.

Another group of about three hundred stranded Pakistani prisoners from Amman is expected to release and arrive back home in next week. Ansar Burney Welfare Trust International's sources disclosed on Saturday.

608 more Pakistani prisoners arrive home from Muscat

KARACHI, November 23 (Online): Another group of Six hundred and eight Pakistani prisoners, smuggled to Oman by human smugglers, and arrested in Muscat few months back, arrives back home by Sea on Saturday.
Human and civil rights activist and Chairman 'Ansar Burney Welfare Trust International' Ansar Burney, Advocate made hectic efforts to get release these Pakistanis and brought them back to Pakistan, said a statement issued here.

These stranded Pakistani prisoners arrive at Ghasbander, Keemari by Cargo Ship Al-Mohammadi 2.

At the Ghasbander, Mr Ansar Burney, Advocate and the volunteers of Ansar Burney Welfare Trust International received them. These Pakistanis were released by Oman government.

Human Rights crusader Advocate, Ansar Burney has thanked Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Interior for their kind cooperation in this regard.

The Ansar Burney Welfare Trust International has made special arrangements for provision of food, water and clothes to them, as they were hungry and sleepless on Boat since last three days.

These Pakistanis were smuggled to Muscat via Iran to go to Dubai by the cruel human smugglers, few months before, where these innocents were arrested and sent to prisons. They spent several months in Jails in a miserable condition and released three days ago only because of the efforts of the Chairman of Ansar Burney Welfare Trust International, Ansar Burney.

It may be recall here that in the last few days the Ansar Burney Welfare Trust International has already succeeded in getting the release of more than 2000 stranded Pakistanis jailed in Muscat later Ansar Burney brought them back to Pakistan.

These released prisoners on their arrival informed that hundreds of Pakistanis are still confined in Muscat Jails on their illegal entry into Oman and waiting for an Angel of human rights, Ansar Burney to get them release from Jails.

They also revealed the same details that dozens 'Dead Bodies' of Innocent Pakistanis are decaying on the mountains of Muscat and some of them were even eaten by the Cannibals.

Touching Scenes were also witnessed at the Ghasbander, Sea Port at Keemari when these prisoners came out from the Boat and when Ansar Burney received them and provide them food, water, new clothes and in most of the cases cash money for their return to their respective homes in the different Districts in Pakistan.

When they came out from the Boat, they immediately felt down and bow before Almighty Allah when human rights Angel, Ansar Burney informed them that they are now no more prisoner and free to go where ever they like. They kissed the hands of Ansar Burney and prayed for him.

"Hundreds of innocent Pakistanis are still stranded around the globe on slave labour or in prisons and Ansar Burney Welfare Trust International is trying it's best to bring them back to Pakistan, but we are sorry that the Trust is facing financial problems so unable to bring all of them". Ansar Burney said while talking to newsmen at the Seaport.

He said the Vice Chairman of the Ansar Burney Welfare Trust International, Syed Fahad Burney, is leaving soon for Muscat, for the early release of other Pakistanis and in search of decaying dead bodies on boarder mountains to bring back for funeral if any found.

Burney will spend Eid in Search of dead bodies in Muscat

ISLAMABAD, November 24, 2003: The Pakistan's renowned human and civil rights leader Ansar Burney, Advocate has left for Oman, where he will search the dead bodies of illegally immigrant Pakistanis reportedly lying and decaying on Muscat's mountains.

Chairman; Ansar Burney Welfare Trust International, Ansar Burney along with Syed Fahad Burney, Vice Chairman of the Trust has left to Muscat after having reports that dozens of dead bodies of Pakistanis are decaying on the mountains of Muscat even eaten by the Cannibals.

He will spend his Eid days while searching the dead bodies of innocent Pakistanis to bring them back to Pakistan or will burry them according to the Islamic principals in Amman's mountains.

He has thanked President House, Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Interior for their kind cooperation in this regard.

Ten thousand prisoners released before Eid

ISLAMABAD, November 25 (Online): In the Holy Month of Ramadan, before Eid-ul-Fitr, more than ten thousand poor prisoners in minor cases, were released from the Jails of four provinces including Azad Kashmir.

Human and civil rights group Ansar Burney Welfare Trust International played important role in this regard.

Ansar Burney Welfare Trust International with the cooperation of President House, Prime Minister's Secretariat, Federal Ministry of Interior, Four provincial governments including Azad Jammu and Kashmir and concern courts are able to get release more than ten thousand (10,000) prisoners confined or detained in minor cases in the different Jails of Pakistan and Azad Kashmir, now they would rejoice their Eid with their kith and kin and loved ones, said a press statement issued here on Monday.

25 prisoners released from Sargodha Jail

District Jail Sargodha has released 25 prisoners who were involved in minor crimes on the occasion of Eid ul Fitr.

According to details Session Judge Sargodha Khawaja Imtiaz Ahmed in a surprise visit to the jail issued orders to release 25 prisoners who were involved in minor crimes on the occasion of Eid ul Fitar.

Afterwards, the jail officials released 25 prisoners.

120 prisoners released at Eid-ul-Fitar

The political administration of Bajore agency has released as many as 120 prisoners at Eid-ul-Fitar.

It is the first time in last 15 years that the agency has released such a handsome number of prisoners. Abdul Jabbar, political agent for the agency said that after the release of the prisoners there remained some 60 prisoners in the prison.

Meanwhile, religious scholars in their meeting have decided to celebrate Eid on Tuesday. However, Bajor agency has warned that it would take stern action against those who would celebrate Eid on Tuesday.
